Meet Peek. It does one thing and one thing only: e-mail.

I was part of this Unicorn startup, responsible for marketing and branding an entirely new category of tech from scratch. Peek was an innovative, standalone email device that was recognized as Time Magazine’s Gadget of the Year and featured in prominent media outlets, including Oprah’s Favorite Things.

Creating the Branding

Careful consideration was given when creating branding guidelines for Peek. Creating comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual and written communications. This included developing a cohesive color palette that reflected the brand’s personality, selecting font styles that enhance readability and align with the brand tone, and designing a versatile logo that worked across various platforms. These elements were carefully chosen to create a unified and recognizable identity, helping to strengthen the brand’s presence and build trust with the audience.

Boot Screen Animation

I was responsible for overseeing even the smallest yet impactful details, such as the boot screen animation. Working within significant software and hardware constraints, we focused on optimizing performance to align with the device’s capabilities. For international launches and partnerships with various telecom carriers, we developed customized boot screen animations featuring carrier logos, ensuring a localized and polished user experience.
